What is calibre?

calibre is a free and open source e-book library management application developed by users of e-books for users of e-books. It has a cornucopia of features divided into the following main categories:

  • Library Management 
  • E-book conversion 
  • Syncing to e-book reader devices 
  • Downloading news from the web and converting it into e-book form 
  • Comprehensive e-book viewer 
  • Content server for online access to your book collection 
  • E-book editor for the major e-book formats

The install from Calibre in Pisi Linux is very simple, you can do it as it describe on the Page from calibre 

And calibre is available in Turkish language

calibre has a binary install that includes private versions of all its dependencies. It runs on 32-bit and 64-bit Intel compatible machines. To install or upgrade, simply copy paste the following command into a terminal and press Enter:

 sudo -v && wget -nv -O- | sudo python -c "import sys; main=lambda:sys.stderr.write('Download failed\n'); exec(; main()"

Source install

WARNING: calibre is a highly complex piece of software with lots of very finicky dependencies. If you install from source, you are on your own. Please do not open bug reports or expect any form of support. You have been warned.

 curl -L | tar xvJ   
 cd calibre*  
 sudo python install  

Note: when you do it in Pisi Linux 2.0 with the wget command also (
sudo -v && wget -nv -O-

you must create a starter for the Menu.

So works it with the wget command in Pisi Linux 2.0
